A New App-Building Challenge for Students, from Google
Hello, We’ve just launched a new initiative for students called The AdMob Student App Challenge <http://www.google.com/ads/admob/challenge.html>, and we’d like to give your peers the opportunity to enter! The prizes are really great, including a 7-night trip to San Francisco, with a visit to the Google headquarters in Mountain View, California. We’d appreciate your help in promoting the Challenge around your University. Overview AdMob <http://www.google.com/ads/admob/> is a Google-owned platform for app developers to help them earn income from mobile apps. The goal of the Challenge is to build a great app and learn how to use AdMob, while competing with other students globally. The Challenge helps focus students on the following skills: - Creativity: they test their ingenuity and coding skills against other students. - Strategic thinking: students are encouraged to do more than build an app, they need to devise a successful marketing strategy too. For students who love to code, or have a great idea for an app; the Challenge is a great way to start thinking about turning a skill like coding into a career. What Google will provide - An email template to send out to your peers, detailing the challenge, how to enter and what they need to do to win. - We will also give you printed posters to place on campus. - Fun, printed stickers to distribute. - An informational one-sheeter. - Educational information about app design and engaging content about the Challenge through our AdMob Google+ page<https://plus.google.com/u/0/+AdMob/posts?e=-RedirectToSandbox> . Feel free to reach out with any questions and I look forward to hearing from you.
